This

City: Jakarta. If you are to visit Indonesia for the first time, it is
advisable to check all your travel needs and arrangements. We will assist

Aviotech
International will assign a representative to meet you at just outside the
aircraft upon your arrival at the Soekarno Hatta International Airport. She
will assist you to go through the immigration counter and customs and
organize a chauffeur driven limousine to take you to the Hotel of your
choice.
Terminal 1 is for domestic non Garuda flights and Terminal 2 is for all
Garuda flights and other international airlines.
If you choose to organize your own arrival and your own transport, please
use Silver Bird limousine service. They have a service counter at the
arrival hall and you can contact the supervisor in charge for necessary
arrangement. You can also book your limousine online. The company also
provides limousine service by hourly or daily basis.

TRAVEL FORMALITIES AND
HINTS |
VISA
All visitors traveling to Indonesia must be in possession of a passport
valid for at least six months from the date of arrival and have proof of
onward passage. Visas are not required for nationals of some ASEAN
countries. Visa can also be obtained upon arrival for some
nationalities.

HEALTH
International health certificates for smallpox and cholera are not required,
except from travelers arriving from infected areas.
AIRPORT TAX
Airport tax levied on passengers for international travel is Rupiah
100,000,- for travel within Indonesia regional variations occur. Expect to
pay an average of about Rp.50,000
TIME
The Indonesian
archipelago is spread over three time zones. Jakarta time is GMT plus 7
hours.

CURRENCY
The currency in
Indonesia is the Rupiah [Rp], which comes from the Sanskrit word for wrought
silver, rupya. Indonesian banknotes come in denominations of Rp 100, 500,
1,000, 5,000, 10,000, 20,000, 50,000 and the Rp 100,000 bill.

Living in Indonesia
Jakarta has several international banks but money can also be changed at
hotel cashiers, and authorized money changers. Daily exchange rates are
published in newspapers or you can

today's rates. The US dollar is the most readily accepted currency.
Credit cards are acceptable at almost every hotels, restaurants and travel
agencies.
ELECTRICITY
Power supply is usually 220 volts/250 cycles in large cities, but 110
volts is still used in some areas. Normal outlets are plugs with two rounded
pins. It is advisable to check electricity supplies before using any
appliances.
CLOTHING
Dress is normally informal in Indonesia due to the warm, humid climate
and clothing of light fabrics are recommended. Traveling in highland areas
is noticeably cooler, however, and carrying a light sweater may prove
useful. Accepted attire for men is a shirt and long pants. A jacket and tie
are required for official calls or for more formal occasions. Long sleeved
batik or hand-woven shirts are acceptable for evening functions. For ladies,
dresses, blouses, and long pants are appropriate. However, shorts,
halters or tank tops are commonly accepted.
OFFICE HOURS
Business offices are usually open either from 8.00 am to 4.00 pm
or 9.00 am to 5.00 pm, with a break for lunch between 12.00 noon and 1.00
pm. but on Saturday most business offices are closed. Government office
hours are from 8.00 am to 4.00 pm from Monday to Friday.

There are
numerous hotels with international standard located in Jakarta. Aviotech

SHERATON BANDARA :
the
closest 5-star hotel to the Airport. Aviotech International engineering
office is located within a 3 minutes walking distance from the hotel. A
hotel owned shuttle bus is available at no charge. Please contact the
Sheraton chalets at the arrival hall. The best place to get away from all
the crowds of Jakarta and concentrate on business.

HOTEL CIPUTRA
: is one
of the closest hotels to Jakarta's Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, and
is the first landmark visible when coming from the International Airport on
the toll road. This International Four-Star Hotel is only minutes from the
city center, and located directly above one of Jakarta's largest and most
comprehensive shopping malls, providing direct access to exclusive shops,
restaurants, banks, cinemas, karaoke and entertainment places.

HOTEL GRAND HYATT
:
Towering 26 stories over the downtown business district of Jakarta,
Indonesia, the Grand Hyatt Jakarta is adjacent to Plaza Indonesia, a
sophisticated shopping mall that features a plethora of retail shops,
designer boutiques and cafes and restaurants.
